Q: What is Leav?

Leav is a cloud-based platform allowing retailers to automate their in-store checkout process for their customers. Through contactless technologies, such as NFC, QR, and BLE, customers are able to scan the items they want to purchase directly on their phone. Instead of interacting with payment terminals, customers can skip the wait line entirely and automatically self-checkout at Leav-enabled locations.

Q: Will Leav work with my store?

As a cloud-based platform, Leav easily integrates with existing point of sale and e-commerce solutions. You won't have to replace your current hardware to incorporate Leav into your shop.

Q: Is Leav secure?

All Leav product tiers incorporate varying security technologies, along with theft-preventing solutions. Our Advanced and Pro tiers are capable of tracking paid and unpaid items in real-time to reduce the risk of theft.

Q: Will Leav change how I manage my inventory?

Leav integrates with cloud-based inventory management solutions, such as point of sale and e-commerce systems, in order to incorporate with your existing processes. As a standalone solution, Leav does not currently offer inventory management functionalities.

Q: How does Leav affect they way I process payments?

Instead of processing orders via payment terminals, your customers will be able to self-checkout directly on their phone. Leav is synchronized with your inventory management systems to ensure that all orders are processed correctly. All transactions that go through Leav are secured by our level 1 PCI compliant partner, Payload LLC, ensuring that every transaction is processed and redirected safely.

Q: Can I turn off certain payment methods and card providers?

Via Leav's dashboard for retailers, you can disable unwanted payment options. For specific inquiries regarding payment methods and card providers, please get in touch with our technical support team.

Q: Does Leav provide its own payment processor or will it integrate with my own?

Currently, Leav-enabled retailers are required to create a merchant account with our payment processing partner, Payload LLC. Additional payment processing partners will be integrated to facilitate the integration process in future updates.

Q: What are Leav's transaction fees and are they negotiable?

Our transaction fees are determined by a variable structure that is impacted by your transaction volume. Please contact one our sales representatives to learn more about our transaction fee rates.

Q: Will Leav replace my current payment terminals?

Leav's modularity and backward compatibility enables retailers to keep or remove their existing payment terminals. We also enable you to create specific autonomous checkout zones if you choose to use Leav for certain sections or products inside your store.

2. Installation

Q: How easy is it to install Leav?

Our Standard tier is entirely cloud-based, taking only a few minutes to install without any hardware requirements. The Advanced and Pro tiers require hardware integration and can require a few hours to install, depending on the complexity and size of your store.

Q: Do I need to install additional hardware if I own a multi-level shop?

For multi-level or/and multi-entrance stores, please refer to our Pro tier. Our sales representatives will be able to further assist you with the hardware and software requirements that are specific to your store.

Q: Will Leav work in all types of environments?

Our Standard tier does not have any restrictions on the size or the type of environment in which it is deployed. Our Advanced and Pro tiers might require further calibration by our technical team to fit your store's layout on a case by case basis.

3. Data

Q: What are your data privacy policies?

Leav is GDPR compliant and we do not share any data without your consent. Please refer to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policies section.

Q: Will my data be shared with or sold to third parties?

Any data that Leav collects will be anonymized and only used internally.

Q: How do you store and secure data?

Leav has a REST-based infrastructure. Your data is anonymized and mixed with other gathered data pools to ensure its safety.

Q: What type of data do you collect?

As per our terms of use, we collect basic usage, performance and purchase data.

4. Pricing

Q: Can I trial Leav before paying?

Our Standard tier is available for a trial period of 30 days. After the trial period, you can subscribe on a monthly or annual basis, or cancel your plan. Upon cancelation, your Leav subscription will be deactivated and its features will be locked. Currently, Leav does not offer trials for its Advanced and Pro tiers.

Q: Can I cancel my plan at any time?

If you are on the Standard tier, you can cancel your subscription at any time. If you are on the Advanced or Pro tier, please refer to your contract or get in touch with one of our account representatives.
